Mooreland Partners Advises Mocean Mobile (fka Mojiva) on its Sale to PubMatic
New York, NY / Redwood City, CA — May 29, 2014 –Mooreland Partners is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial adviser to Mocean Mobile on its sale to PubMatic, the programmatic advertising platform company for leading publishers.
PubMatic announced that it has acquired Mocean Mobile (formerly Mojiva), a leading enterprise-grade mobile ad server for publishers, for an undisclosed amount. The combination broadens PubMatic’s existing mobile offering, specifically by supplementing PubMatic’s mobile app, mobile web and tablet capabilities with a mobile ad server. With the acquisition, PubMatic will be able to provide publishers with an end-to-end mobile solution for traditional direct sales, programmatic direct sales, and mediation. Mocean Mobile’s employees, more than 40 in total, will join PubMatic and move to PubMatic’s offices in New York and London. The new combined entity will operate under the PubMatic name.
The sale of Mocean Mobile marks the 11th transaction advised by Mooreland since the beginning of 2014, and further strengthens Mooreland’s leading position as an M&A advisor to digital media and adtech companies.
