Stephen joined Mooreland in 2005 and co-founded the firm’s European practice, and in 2009 relocated to the US East Coast. Stephen works in all of the firm’s industry practice groups, and divides his time fairly equally between US and European clients.
Stephen was formerly CEO of Robertson Stephens International (London) responsible for that firm’s European investment banking and equities operations, and he served on the parent company’s Executive Committee. Stephen began his career as an equity research analyst covering the environmental services industry for Alex Brown in Baltimore. Then at Robertson Stephens in San Francisco, Stephen was a special situations analyst following growth companies in a variety of specialized consumer, industrial and business services markets.
Stephen is also an active private investor and currently serves as a Director on a few private company Boards. Stephen is a graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Business School and received a CEP degree from L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. Bilingual in English and French, Stephen holds dual US/French citizenship.
