Scot joined Mooreland in 2009 and specializes in the Enterprise Software and Services sector. He has more than 20 years of experience in technology investment banking having advised on numerous transactions involving major technology leaders including IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Citrix, RSA, SAP, ADP, SunGard and CA Technologies.
Prior to Mooreland, Scot was a Managing Director with Jefferies & Co. in the Technology Investment Banking Group, and was formerly with Broadview International where he served as the Co-Head of Broadview’s Software Global Market Group and was a member of the Board of Directors of Broadview through its acquisition by Jefferies in 2003. Scot has also been a Venture Partner with JMI Equity, a multi-stage private equity firm focused on investing in software and technology-enabled services companies. Scot began his career at IBM Corporation where he held several technical and management positions over an eight year period.
Scot received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
